Dr. Mercy Njagi – Profile
Dr. Mercy Njagi was born in Kenya and is the third-born in a family of four. She is a distinguished academic and professional in the field of Supply Chain Management, with a passion for education, mentorship and public service.
Her academic journey began in 2010 when she joined Kenyatta University to pursue a Bachelor of Education (Arts). While still committed to her studies, she enrolled part-time for a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies in 2011, earning a Distinction in the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) exams, a UK-based examination body. Determined to further her expertise, she pursued an Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies in 2012, excelling in all units with Distinction.
In 2014, Dr. Njagi took the next step in her career by enrolling for a Master of Science in Procurement and Logistics at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Westlands Campus. Her thirst for knowledge and ambition led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management at JKUAT in 2016. On November 29, 2019, she successfully graduated with her doctorate, achieving this remarkable milestone before the age of 30.
Beyond academia, Dr. Njagi has dedicated herself to mentorship and professional development. From 2014 to 2020, she mentored students at Precious Blood Riruta Girls, guiding and inspiring young minds. She also served as a part-time lecturer at JKUAT from 2015 to 2017 and later as a lecturer at RAF International University in 2020. Additionally, she contributed to educational content creation at Oxford University Press, further demonstrating her commitment to knowledge dissemination.
Dr. Njagi later joined Kiambu County Government as a Chief Officer before she was elevated to the position of Chief Executive Committee Member.
