Eng. Newton B. Itobi is a career civil servant, with experience spanning over ten years in private, county, and national governments, serving in various capacities as a Civil and Structural Engineer. The third born in a family of seven hails from Meru County and is passionate about service and mentorship. He is a Christian and a married father of three.
Eng. Itobi has a Degree in Bachelor of Technology, Civil and Structural Engineering from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, where he graduated in 2009. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
He joins Kiambu from the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) Central region, where he has worked for five years as an Engineer, Roads. He has previously worked in Meru County in the same capacity of CECM Roads and Public Works Department. He has also worked as an Assistant Engineer in Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) projects under APEC Consultants.
Eng. Itobi is a professional who has leveraged his expertise to realize growth and deliver results in all his assignments.
He mentors young graduates and students from his former secondary and primary schools and is also a patron at Kinyanka Primary School in Meru.
He loves soccer and athletics.
