Dr. Margaret Ruinge holds a Doctorate degree (PHD) in Educational Administration. She is an experienced and successful administrator. Before her new appointment to the current position in the Kiambu County Government, she was Chief Principal in one of the re-known national girls boarding school - Loreto High School in Limuru from 2006. Before then, she was Senior Principal in St. Anne’s Lioki for more than ten years. She was a Centre Manager with Kenya National Examination Council during the marking of national examinations for over ten years.
These leadership positions have provided her with a wealth of experience in administration and an opportunity to interact with the youth, parents, community and different authorities in the Government. Her work performance earned her promotions and Distinguished Service medals; one from the National Kenya Secondary School Heads Association and another from the Head of State.
Dr.Margaret Ruinge endevours to provide efficient public service to the people of Kiambu County in order to improve their livelihood. She intends to achieve this objective by continuously engaging the people of Kiambu County through public participation in making critical decisions on matters affecting their livelihood. She will coordinate Wanjiku’s welfare activities in collaboration with other supporting partners. Besides this, she will ensure that the Department of Administration and Public Service provides easily available services to the mwananchi and is transparent and accountable to the people of Kiambu County.
